Building Community with Compassion, Service, Diversity and Spirit.
  • We express compassion through caring, love and support for others.
  • We serve by promoting our principles and purpose through leadership, giving and action.
  • We are inspired by diversity to accept, respect and celebrate differences and interdependence.
  • We grow in spirit through our religious experiences, inquiry, education, reflection and transformation.

Sunday Services: The Religious Education schedule is as follows:

We have an active Religious Education Program. Birth-Pre-school: Our nursery is open from 10:15 until 12:15 to allow parents time to get settled before the service and enjoy some conversation in the social hall after the service.

K-6 Children: Our Youth Religious Eductaion (YRE) program takes place during the service. Children attend the first part of the service with their parents during which there is a Focus with Youth story for all ages. After this time they are dismissed for religious education until 12:00 while parents stay for the sermon and then enjoy some time to reflect with others during social hour. Please pick children up at the classroom doors at noon.

7th and 8th Grade: This program runs from 10:15-12:15 at MMUUSS. We are running a cooperative program with May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society this year(MMUUSS). Our Youth are taking the Our Whole Lives (OWL) curriculum with the youth from MMUUS. Most of the sessions will take place at MMUUSS on Sunday mornings and Overnights will be here at FUUSS. If you have a child who is not in the OWL program, we will have a program called "Popcorn Theology" which involves watching thought provoking films followed by discussion. Please contact Sonja Lamicela our DRE if you would like to use attend these sessions.

Senior High: Our Senior High (9-12 grade) Students meet from 10:30-12:00 for Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU) youth group. The teen room is open for informal socializing from 10-10:30. The youth group is based on the UUA youth empowerment model of YRUU. The youth are largely self-directed but are supported by the loving guidance of trained Youth Advisor Glenn Gesek and some volunteer assistants. Youth are also welcome to attend the service, sing in the choir or help with child care if these options more fully meet their needs.

If you have questions about the program or the curriculum, please contact Sonja Lamicela, DRE .
