Caring Committee

THE CARING TEAM NEEDS YOUR INPUT!

The function of the Caring Team is to foster a CARING COMMUNITY AT First UU. To that end the team facilitates the congregation in providing caring connections to the members and friends of the church community, in close coordination with the minister.

Our goal is to develop and maintain a mechanism to get congregational members involved in providing assistance, attention and help to members who would appreciate these services.

The team meets twice a year (in the fall and spring) to determine how it will function in carrying out several projects such as holiday flowers at Christmastime and in the spring, memorial receptions, card writing, phone calls and visitation, meals when needed, transportation to appointments.

You can SHARE THE CARE by (1) joining the team, or by (2) letting us know of specific tasks that you are able to fulfill.

CARING TEAM Co-chairs: Nancy Clausen and Diane Case Team members: Twenty-eight people have agreed to do various specific tasks when called upon by the co-chairs.
We welcome new members!!

Please Nancy Clausen if (1) you know of someone who needs care, (2) wish to join the committee, (3) or can help with some special task. You can also speak to Rev. Holly Baylies about needs.
